Speciale vermelding verdient het werk van de hedendaagse Italiaanse componist Mariano Garau. Hij schrijft religieuze muziek van een bijzondere schoonheid, geïnspireerd door het gregoriaans, geladen met mystieke spanning. Zijn werken zijn vaak driestemmig, zeer transparant en gevoelig getoonzet. Quartz heeft een speciale band opgebouwd met hem en zijn muziek. Inmiddels prijken er ruim twintig werken van zijn hand op het repertoire.

La actividad de esta formación se ha repartido por toda la geografía andaluza: Sevilla, Córdoba, Écija, Antequera, Osuna, Carmona, Marchena, Umbrete entre otras muchas localidades y distintas Agrupaciones Parroquiales, Consejos de Hermandades y Cofradias. Está formada por tres músicos profesionales, y formación tradicional ( oboe, clarinete y fagot ), todos con amplia experiencia en el ámbito musical y caracterizados por la devoción cofrade y por el amor a la música.

It has existed for 20 years, from the beginning of the Study Centre activity. Its aim is to grace celebrations of this institution. In February 2014 the choir took part in the 3rd International Choir Festival in Gdańsk and in August 2014 in International Festival in Paris. In May 2015 it participated in the first performance of Ave verum in Vienna and in June 2015 together with Kalisz Philharmonic Orchestra the choir performed this piece during the final concert of The Diocesan Eucharistic Congress in Kalisz. The conductor of the choir is Krzysztof Niegowski.

Pueri Cantores Sancti Nicolai

Chłopięcy Chór Pueri Cantores Sancti Nicolai Honorowy Ambasador Królewskiego Miasta Bochni jest zespołem śpiewaków-amatorów promujących kulturę muzyczną i śpiew liturgiczny. Powstał przy Sanktuarium Maryjnym - Bazylice Św. Mikołaja w Bochni w roku 1987 z inicjatywy Ks. Stanisława Adamczyka, który do dnia dzisiejszego jest dyrygentem chóru. Zrzesza ponad 100-u członków, głównie dzieci i młodzież w wieku 10-20 lat. Chór na co dzień śpiewa podczas uroczystości kościelnych. Zespół ma na swoim koncie kilkanaście nagranych płyt oraz nagrania dla Polskiego Radia i Telewizji.

CAROLERS OF PREGASSONA

The mixed choir of the Cantori di Pregassona was born spontaneously on the evening of 11 September 1980, on the slopes of Monte Brè in the then municipality of Pregassona (today a district of the City of Lugano).

Thus began the story of a choir born and sustained by the commitment of many friends, enthusiastic in immediately sharing the artistic line of Maestro Luigi De Marchi, who had long been pursuing a way to preserve and enhance a rich choral and musical heritage. One that draws on the rurality of Ticino and pre-alpine culture, to revitalise people's memories and the voice of local tradition.
