Preface

As a graphic operator, I had the opportunity, honor and pleasure to create the editorial package for this book, which will be part of the series of musical compositions by Maestro Mariano Garau.

In addition, as a musician, I have great esteem for the work of my friend Mariano, which derives from his great artistic maturity acquired over the years with over 350 musical compositions.

Maestro Garau's production develops essentially, but not exclusively, in the original sacred choral composition, often taking inspiration from the mysticism inherent in the monodic melodies of Gregorian chant, in a harmonized version, such as to evoke the elaborate styles of Italian polyphony of the '500.

His accurate and passionate work met the consensus of hundreds of choral ensembles who, throughout the world, have included the compositions of Maestro Garau in their repertoire.

It is therefore with pleasure that, like his many admirers, I wish him a future full of inspiration and artistic satisfaction.
