ZAIRA
It is the story of a little girl who died at the age of six from meningitis
in 1901. It is depicted in marble, life-size, sculpted in
those years by Master Giuseppe Sartorioso faithful as to seem
alive. In his hand a stick, at his side a metal hoop, a
game very much in vogue at the time he lived. On his account and over time
numerous legends have arisen and its innocent beauty has made it
so well known as to be considered 'everyone's little girl'. She sleeps in the
monumental cemetery of Iglesias.

MOON GAZE
It is set in one of the mining villages that were built near
to the strands and around Iglesias, at the turn of the 19th century and
twentieth century. The purpose was to house the workforce that would
had to deal with the extraction of the ore. Specifically it is
of the Asproni Village. She was beautiful and fell madly in love
of a young neighbouring miner. But, given its rare beauty, the
director's son fell in love with her and was willing to do anything
not to lose her. Her refusal would have created great problems for the
his family and that of his beloved and for this he sacrificed himself by deciding
to disappear. No one ever knew of its destination which, still
today, remains a mystery.

THE LITTLE BLACKSMITH
It is about a young man who, in the immediate post-war period, driven by the
family need, he was employed as a helper in the workshop of a
blacksmith in the city. The same one who was assigned the task of having to
repair Zaira's damaged metal hoop
from the weather and time. Barely 14 years old, c
happened to be alone with the child and, on those occasions, so much
seemed so real to him that he surprised himself several times by talking to her. This his
affection lasted so intense over time that he transferred it to his children.
